Fascinating

Check this out. It is absolutely fascinating. What an amazing world we live in.

Indiana Jones

Okay, so I loved it. I haven't read great review, but I thought it was fabulous. Action packed, good Ole' Harrison Ford, bugs, car chases, and so much more. Kind of a funky ending with the sci- fi twist, but I was pleased and enjoyed myself. So did my kids.

Ped Egg

This is so worth its $10.00 and now you can buy replacements for it.

Mary

Mary turned 8 this week. I can't believe she is already 8. It seems like it was just yesterday that I was telling Adam that we needed to have a baby and that it would be a girl and that we needed to move to Sagle. After all that we had our precious Mary.
She received many great presents for her birthday and we went to dinner and they sang to her. She and I also went and had a mani and pedi for her birthday. That is the first time she has done that before and thoroughly enjoyed that. They pampered her and had so much fun. She now has bright purple nails with flowers and rhinestones. She is already planning her next visit.
Happy Birthday Mary! We love you!

Boston's Trombone

Boston had his final elementary school Band Concert this week. He did such a fabulous job and has really come to love playing the trombone. I wish my father lived close enough to give him private lessons. We are going to find someone local. He loves it and is going to continue for many years to come. I am now the proud owner of a trombone and the mother to a trombonist.

Great job Boston!

Truman

My sister had her baby yesterday morning. It has been a long few weeks for her and I am so glad he is here and healthy. New babies are always so exciting, truly a gift from Heaven.

Congratulations Molly and Family!

We love you Truman.

My family and I loved it!

Things to Ponder...

Where do all the missing socks go?

It is Laundry Day. Can you tell?

So True

Boston's teacher sent this to me and I have found it to be very true.

Dear Parents,

WARNING WARNING WARNING DANGER DANGER DANGER

Adolescence is upon you! In all my years of teaching sixth grade (23) it has never failed: puberty and full blown adolescence have flooded the collective hormone pool within a week of Valentine's Day. Some years I have literally said good-bye on a Friday in mid-February to a group of pleasant, compliant children only to be stampeded by a bunch of raving adolescents on Monday.

If you are suddenly living with a 12- or 13-year-old stranger who is moody, mouthy, and constantly vacillating between giddiness and misery...welcome to the club. The Parents-of-an-Adolescent Club, that is. What you and your stranger child are experiencing may be baffling, but it is perfectly normal. Be patient. Be brave. Take lots of deep breaths. Lock yourself in your room periodically. Understand that it will only get worse before it gets better.

Be prepared to find out that instead of being the world's smartest person, you will shortly become the world's dumbest. Completion of that transformation will be clearly communicated to you via deep sighs and disgusted eye rolls. Some of you may regain some modicum of intelligence when your child reaches his/her early 20's. For others, you may remain unbelievably dumb until the birth of your first grandchild. Either way, take comfort in the fact that the parents of all your child's classmates have suddenly become equally clueless.

Learn to love the stranger in your midst. Try to remember that the confusion and bewilderment you are feeling are amplified 1000 times inside that hormonal little body. Offer lots of hugs (never in public). Practice smiling, nodding, and listening.

There's no point in talking because you'll just sound dumb.

Good luck.

Lulu

My crazy dog loves to chase shadows including her own. She can't seem to get enough or actually catch it. She is so fun.

Adam

I couldn't survive without my wonderful husband. He is truly my best friend and my soul mate. I have never felt a connection with anyone as I do him.
I love you.

Eeyore

I have decided that Eeyore and Boston have a lot in common. I don't know who's life is more misserable at least so they think. So I know Eeyore is a girl, but I have started calling Boston Eeyore and he actually likes it. He thinks it is funny. So here is to my mopy, grumpy Eeyore.
I love you.

Snow

It was 80 degrees yesterday and we are having a blizzard now. We already have over 4 inches of snow. It is crazy. Boston had a good time trying to take pictures.
