Exhaustion...

I am not sure if you can tell what this mound of hair is, but it would be little Lilly. I took the picture because it was 11:30 a.m. at the time and she hadn't gotten out of bed yet. I already have the startings of a teenager on my hand and she is only 4.
We had a major storm last night around 4 in the morning and the lightning and thunder woke up all the kids and we were all up for about an hour. It was so loud and right over our house it seemed. 2 houses withint a couple of block from us were struck with lightning although no fires, we also had the firetrucks out here to make sure everything was okay. It hasn't quit raining since then and it is only 45 degrees. Hi, it is August. Arn't we suppose to be in the 90's. I don't mind though, it is beautiful outside and we desperately need the rain.
Lilly didn't go to bed too late, but I think the storm wore her and she needed the rest. Can you imagine what she is going to be like as a teenager?

My babies...

I put Lilly in the bathtub today while I was doing laundry and came in to see what all the commotion was, and this is what I found. I find Lulu in the tub ofton actually looking for a drink for some reason, even though she has water downstairs. I think the tub full of water was too inticing for her and Lilly having so much fun convinced her that she couldn't resist and had to be in the tub also. I know, not the cleanest bath, but they played for 20 minutes in there.

1st Day of School

Today was Boston's first day of middle school. We headed off at 6:45 and he seemed very excited, a little nervous but excited. I don't know when he got so old and big.

He is so handsome.
This is the shirt he picked to wear today. It doesn't have spots as it looks like in the picture. It shows his sense of humor. You got to love that boy. I didn't blog about the other kids first day of school hoping to get a better picture of Zane. He was rather traumatized by the day at a new school with no friends. But he has done fabulous. He had nothing to worry about. The picture of him is the best we could get that day. And of course, Mary can make friends anywhere and we love her teacher this year.

Parade

Saturday was the start of our County Fair and Rodeo. It started with a parade downtown. It was so fun and there were so many people there. Mary's Gymnastic Group was there riding and walking in the parade. She pooped out early and rode in the truck.

I took this picture for my brother. It was totally a redneck vehicle. I wish I could have gotten a picture from the front but they were cruising all over the road. It was hard to get a picture.
I took this picture for my dad.

Anyways, the rest are just misc. pictures of things though out the parade. I didn't take as many pictures as I anticipated because we were too busy picking up candy, waterbottles, chapstick and other things that they were handing out. It was like Halloween with all the candy. There were over 100 entries in the parade. It made for a wonderful start to the weekend.
I love living in a small town.

Tackle

Zane started tackle football this year. I have never seen him so exhausted but having so much fun. He even ate breakfast the other morning in his football pads. He went on Friday for 3 hours, Saturday for 3 hours, and then tonight. Tonight they find out what teams they will be playing on. I am so excited that he is enjoying it and the exercise is great for him. Now if we could just control the heat.
