What I am Thankful for...

I didn't take any pictures on Thanksgiving but it felt wrong not blogging about it. So instead of telling a story with pictures I am obligated to write a little bit.
This is the first year in a number of years that we have stayed home for Thanksgiving. We are usually in St. George soaking up the sun, golfing and more golfing (my clubs are there from last year :( ), and enjoying the company of his family. This year we decided to stay home for many reasons, and thoroughly enjoyed it. We missed St. George, but enjoyed the comforts of home. We made turkey, stuffing, sweet potatoes, rolls, corn, stuffed mushrooms, and cranberries to feed an army, but it supplied us with left overs for days. Matt and his family came and our friend Dave. It was great food and great company.
This year I have so much to be thankful for. I am especially thankful for my family. We are all healthy and happy. We bought our beautiful home this year and are committed to not moving for a long time. Adam has a great job and the kids are attending great schools. The kids are also thriving in school, extra circular activities, and in their relationships with each other. They get a long 85% of the time. I think that is pretty good. I am extra thankful for the snow that fell today. We are very blessed for sure. I truly feel in the holiday spirit. So now we prepare for Christmas.
Happy Holidays All!

Meet Izzy

She comes home to live with us tomorrow. She is a 3 month old lab that we adopted today from our favorite shelter. Lulu doesn't know what she is in for.

Why I live where I do...

Our eventual destination.

This rock is signifigant to where I live. It is 5 minutes from my house and a beautiful hike right in the middle of town. My kids have hiked it many times with their school classes, but this was our first time. It was beautiful. It was 65 degrees today in the middle of November and we went up without jackets. We occassionally wished we had shorts on. Just thought we would share the beautiful views and the amazing pictures of Zane and Mary together. We all know how much that happens. They were just a joy to be wtih today, but of course I didn't mention it because that would have been the end of it.

Views from the top.

Boston's Band Concert

Last night was Boston's first Band Concert in Middle School. They concert involved all feeder schools to our highschool. It was really fun to watch all the groups. He did a great job. He is getting so old and looked so handsome.

Lilly

This was Lilly's outfit today for playing in the snow. What more can be said? During the primary program today (which Lilly refused to participate in, of course) she was drawing with Jack. They had a bunch of different thing to write with including some fine point sharpies. Lilly drew on her face with the flourescent green sharpie and informed us that she had a mustache. Not only was the first drawing not enough, but she added to it again when we weren't paying attention. So now my 4 year old has a flourscent green permanent mustache. It was really hard to be reverent during the program at that point.

Mary's 3rd Meet and last for this Season

Mary had her final meet a few weeks ago. It was fabulous and we are still waiting for Adam to put the film on the computer. This gym was harder to photograph from because of the layout, so we took what we could get. She did great though and had a wonderful season. I am so proud of her and we can hardly wait for next fall. Until then we are just going to try to quit using the furniture for gym equipment and watch for Lilly when doing a handstand or cartwheel so we limit the amounts of bruises on her face. We love you Mary.

Santa Claus

Lilly informed Zane today that Santa Claus HATES him.
She must have been really, really mad at him.
