Take me out to the Ball Game

Zane's choir from his school performed the National Anthem at the beginning of the Rockies game today. They did fabulous and he was so nervous. He is so cute. It was impossible to get a good picture from where we were, but they looked awesome.
Congratulations Zane! Great job.

This is Zane once they returned to the parents.
Zane then proceeded to spend the rest of the game flirting with the girls.

No puppy should be allowed to have this much fun...

Sheer Pleasure

You can see the ecstasy on her face.
Makes the snow worth it.

Crockpot Oatmeal

Check out my family's recipe blog for the oatmeal recipe.

Lilly didn't want to waste the little bit of oatmeal she got on her arm,
no matter what it took to take it off.

Blast Off

Mary had her 3rd Grade program this week. It was called Blast Off and focused on the solar system. Zane was our photographer. It is dark in a lot of the pictures for effect. They had glow in the dark paint on their shirts and hanging from the ceiling.
She played her recorder. You know we all love recorder music.

She loves to perform and you can see it in her face. She lives for stuff like this.
Her music teacher did a fabulous job. It was a really enjoyable.

The girl behind Mary played with her ponytail the whole time. Mary decided it was time to get her haircut after that. Adam and I still won't let her. It is too beautiful.
Mary is so much fun. What a blessing she is to our family.

Molly Face

This was at 10 o'clock this morning. A sure sign she isn't feeling well. She has been suffering from Molly face. Those of you who have followed my blog for a long time or know my sister understand. Poor thing. Her second upper respitory thing this month.
Not much slows her down, but Lulu was loving it.

Love/Have Relationship

I find that my doggies are just like having 2 toddlers in the house.
This morning while giving both of them a bone Lulu decides that she can't wait for her bone that she needs Izzy's bone and goes running after her while I am trying to give her hers. Now remember Izzy is the 50 lb. lab puppy and Lulu is the crazy 14 pound pug. It is always like that. Lulu is the dominant one and we have encouraged that to some extent with their size difference. But come one.
Here is a picture of them fighting over the stuffed animal last night. Izzy is quietly playing by herself and Lulu feels justified to come and try and take away whatever it is. Although Izzy in a great deal stronger. That is going to be an eye opener for Lulu. She has big dog syndrome.

This is what happens whenever I get off my spot on the couch. Sometimes it is just to stand up and grab something and sit down. She feels it is then her turn. It is a huge game.
She sneaks in right behind me.

Then the love. They snuggle and sleep together all the time. If you take one without the other they are lost. So I know there is love in there. It is just like having toddler siblings.
But with them you can point out the love. They just melt my heart.
I can't imagine one without the other one.
I don't think they can either.
Cute little Lulu. She is still so tiny.

Easter

We had a fabulous Easter. We do the typical egg hiding, decorating, and Easter baskets but only because it is fun. My kids don't believe in the Easter Bunny or any of that. We enjoy going to church on Easter Sunday and learning about Christ. Lilly loved looking for her eggs that were hidden. Even the older boys seemed to enjoy it. Boston even seemed excited when we realized that
we hadn't forgotten him and there was a basket for him.
I couldn't get a picture of it, but Izzy has a great time stealing the eggs that she could reach and bringing them to us just like she does her ball.
I tried and tried to get a picture of them all dressed for Easter. It was 30 degrees outside and raining but we were wearing out Easter clothes. Good old Colorado. You just go with it. The kids all looked great. The girls were beautiful and Lilly even let me curl her hair.
That only happens about 4 times a year.

Happy Easter!

Lulu

My sweet little Lulu continues to become more and more crazy. You know how pets in my family are just like our kids. Like I don't already have 4 kids, I added two more. At least I can lock them in their bed at night and sleep through without disturbances from them.
But anyways...
We found out a few months ago how Lulu has allergies. Well she is on her 3rd round of steroids and antibiotics. The vet has determined that she not only has food allergies but she also has environmental allergies. So $200. later she is feeling much better. We took her in a week ago when we determined she was running a fever and could barely move. Her rash over takes her belly and gets so irritated that is hurts to move. I feel so bad for her. The medication is amazing and she was feeling better within 24 hours.
This is going to be a life long struggle with her though. It is sad. So she is currently taking steroids (a dog on steroids isn't pretty. She is hungry all the time and tries to beat up Izzy if she even looks like she might consider eating Lulu's food. She is always starving), antibiotic shot that she got that day at the vet, special dog food, antihistamines that she will take forever and omega 3 for her skin, and special shampoo. Who knew dogs could have these issues? I had no idea. I should have known when her tongue hung out her mouth on the side that it was going to be a wild ride. So when I take my allergy pills so does Lulu. We just continue to love her and her quirky ways.
