I couldn't live without it....

Any one who really knows me knows that I can't live without this. I will be the first to admit I have a problem. Maybe when my kids graduate high school I will be able to get it under control.

We are moving again...

Again. Can you believe it? This makes 9 times in 13 years. We call ourselves gypsys for a reason. It is time for a change. This time we have promised the kids to stay a while.

Now starts all the work, but we are so excited. It is about 12 min. from our house now. So we will start moving all the boxes and lighter stuff and save the piano and big furniture for the movers. Now we just have to move.

We are so excited.

What's in your name....

I saw this post on a blog that I read and I thought it was really fun, so I decided to do it too. I tried to keep our names interesting, but not as unique as mine.

Adam Scott: All I know is that his parents license plates say Bananza.

Kiora Eloise: My father served his mission in New Zealand and Kioa-Ora is a greeting there much like Aloha is to Hawaii. I have only met one other in my lifetime. Eloise is my Great-Grandmother's name and my Grandmother's middle name.

Boston Scott: Boston is named after my Grandfather, his Great-Grandfather who I adored. Plus it is just a cool name. His middle name is Adam's middle name. We weren't ever into the jr. thing and it carried on his name.

Christian Zane: Adam and I both loved the name Zane and couldn't come up with a middle name to go with it. So we ended up with Christian Zane and he goes my Zane. It is also similar/close to my maiden name. We had no idea all the trouble we were causing by calling him by his middle name until school started. Now he is always having to correct people and paperwork. It is good for him. He always needs a challenge.

Marylena Rose: She was named for her Grandpa Cartwright. Marylena is his sisters name and Rose was his mother. I knew when I got pregnant with her that she was coming for him. It seemed only right to give her a name that had meaning for him. They still have a special relationship to his day. It is precious.

Lillian Marie: We always struggled with girl names unlike boy names. So hers changed many times before we settled. I just knew she was going to be boy and had a name picked out. Lillian (she goes by Lilly) was a name I found distantly in our ancestory. We loved it. Marie is my sister Nurel's middle name and my dear friend's middle name.

That is our family.

Nurel and J'Anne

Aunt Nurel and Aunt J were here about 10 days ago for a visit. We had more fun that people should be allowed to have. They spoiled us, we laughed, played hard, stayed up late, and thoroughly enjoyed eachothers company. And throughit all I didn't even think to take a picture. I am so terrible. So this is a picture of them this last Christmas with my neice Emma at my mother's house.

Some of our favorite memories:

~Zane's new clothes

(Mom just doesn't know what cool is anymore but they sure do!)

~Avalanche Game (even though they lost)

~Nuggets Game/Girls Night Out

~Water fight in the van

~Red Rice

~Shopping at Cherry Creek Mall (and other places)

~Nurel taking the kids to the park

~And so many other memories....

We had so much fun and can't wait for them to return! The sooner the better.
We love you girls.

Disneyland

My family has gone to Disneyland for the last 3 years. We are so anxious to go this year and aren't even going until the Fall. My kids talk about DL daily even the 3 year old. Here are some pictures from our previous trips. It truly is the most magical place...

American Idol

So, it is completely Tanya's fault. I have become totally addicted to AI this season. I haven't watched in probably 4 seasons, but caught the addiction this time. I have my 3 favorites and hope for the best. Tanya and I are so bad, we IM eachother while she watches it an hour earlier than I can, so I already have an opinion by the time I watch it. Then we catch up the next day.
I know, how pathetic.

They have a Love Hate relationship!

The Avalanche

Tanya, Rachel, and I went to the hockey game on Sat. night. The AVS were playing the Kings.
It was an amazing game and we won 5-2.
We girls, try and go out whenever Tanya is in town. We make quite the threesome and tend to have a really great time, as we did that night. Hockey and Coldstone Ice Cream.
How can you go wrong?
(thanks to Adam for staying home and watching all 5 kids)

The Park

On Saturday while I ran Boston to the Orthodontist, Tanya took the kids to the park. Tanya is the best Aunt a kid could ask for. She plays just as hard a the kids do. They had a lot of fun. There is evidence of that in the pictures.
