I saw this post on a blog that I read and I thought it was really fun, so I decided to do it too. I tried to keep our names interesting, but not as unique as mine.
Adam Scott: All I know is that his parents license plates say Bananza.
Kiora Eloise: My father served his mission in New Zealand and Kioa-Ora is a greeting there much like Aloha is to Hawaii. I have only met one other in my lifetime. Eloise is my Great-Grandmother's name and my Grandmother's middle name.
Boston Scott: Boston is named after my Grandfather, his Great-Grandfather who I adored. Plus it is just a cool name. His middle name is Adam's middle name. We weren't ever into the jr. thing and it carried on his name.
Christian Zane: Adam and I both loved the name Zane and couldn't come up with a middle name to go with it. So we ended up with Christian Zane and he goes my Zane. It is also similar/close to my maiden name. We had no idea all the trouble we were causing by calling him by his middle name until school started. Now he is always having to correct people and paperwork. It is good for him. He always needs a challenge.
Marylena Rose: She was named for her Grandpa Cartwright. Marylena is his sisters name and Rose was his mother. I knew when I got pregnant with her that she was coming for him. It seemed only right to give her a name that had meaning for him. They still have a special relationship to his day. It is precious.
Lillian Marie: We always struggled with girl names unlike boy names. So hers changed many times before we settled. I just knew she was going to be boy and had a name picked out. Lillian (she goes by Lilly) was a name I found distantly in our ancestory. We loved it. Marie is my sister Nurel's middle name and my dear friend's middle name.
That is our family.
