End of Football Season 2009

Zane is the one with white long sleeves.
It was a beautiful day for a make up game. We loved the 2 feet of snow the previous weekend.
Next season I am mastering close up pictures I promise.
Zane is the one in purple with a 2. His number is actually 72.
He wants to go pro someday so remember that number.
It was a great season. I am going to miss it.

Why we have Pets

In no particular order and with help from all members of the family.
  • It teaches all of us to be responsible and aware of someone besides ourselves.
  • Unconditional love
  • Snuggling (Mary)
  • You are never alone
  • The smile they put on your face when you walk in the door after being gone.
  • The "Oh, how cute!" moments.
  • Exercise
  • Sharing your love (Lilly)
  • Playing and rough housing (Zane)
  • Lots of love (and kisses)

There are so many more reasons. Since we got married we have owned 5 dogs and 1 cat. I wouldn't trade the experience our kids have had with each pet. They have learned so much, experienced so much, and even learned a little about loosing something you love.

In our house, our pets are like additional children. My kids walk in the house and look for their fuzzy friends before they look for me. They have to say good bye whenever we leave. It touches my heart to know that they have a confidant when they need to talk, a constant loving companion and friend. I wouldn't trade the experiences they have had.

So I may have some dog hair that has to be vacuumed everyday, dog dishes sitting in my kitchen, dog hair in the van from all the trips to the dog park, a basket full of dog toys that get spread more than any toddler's toys, and a lab that thinks she is a little dog and insists on sitting on the back of the leather couch. But they are my fuzzy kids and I love them.

3rd Meet

Mary's 3rd Meet of the Season
You can't see her because size wise the is in the middle of the line. Here are some action photos.

She complained about not doing her best because she was too hyper from the candy the night before. She was very wound up and crashed on the way home.
Here she is receiving her ribbon.
She is so fun to watch. She looks like she enjoys it so much!

Halloween

Our Ward Trunk R TreatMary the PuNk WiTcH and her friend the DeViL.

We won best car decorations. Adam did a good job very last minute.

This was Lilly's opinion of the night. For some reason she just wasn't into it this year.
Last year she couldn't get enough candy fast enough.

Zane's costume that night was "An Average Boy".
He thinks he is so funny.
Halloween Night
Zane was a beat up Hockey Player Halloween night.

Notice, there are no pictures of Boston. He refused to dress up and was unable to be caught for pictures. It was great though, he was here to hand out candy all night.
