Izzy

We woke up this morning and found Izzy's tail like this. Went out about 4 inches and then drooped straight down. It seriously looked broken. As a lab, her tail is always up and wagging and knocking things over. So we knew there was something definitely wrong. Besides just look at it. So unnatural.

We headed to the vet. X-rays, current immunization because we were there and they were due, temperature taken it was determined that it wasn't broken. I don't know how it couldn't be, but I saw the pictures. She has just damaged it. It was almost like it was slammed in a door or something. But when I went to bed last night she was fine. It happened during the night. So now for very cute wrapping that matches her collar and pain medication, she is doing much better.

We took all of her toys away for a day or two to help make her rest, but how do you do that? She is so bored. So we are off to take her for a walk.

Dian was talking with her vet-tech daughter, Jennifer. A very common injury for labs and their busy tails. Usually nerve damage, not always determinable from what injury, and sometimes requires amputation if the pain doesn't decrease. Love the picture of "broken" tail through the loop in Lulu's.
